Anne Keys of The Panel to speak at GAIM & GAIM Ops London on 26th June 2018

We are delighted to announce that our Joint Managing Partner Anne Keys will be speaking at this year’s GAIM & GAIMOps Conference in London next week.
This year the Global Alternative Investment Managers Conference (GAIM) will take place in the impressive Altitude London, Millbank Tower on Tuesday 26th – Wednesday 27th June.
This event is a key staple to the calendar of investors and managers for the last 20 years and The Panel has been an active participant for a number of years. The event offers participants the facility to network and listen to industry leaders from the UK, Ireland and overseas. The GAIM & GAIM Ops Conference attracts some of Europe’s leading C-Level Alternative Investment, Due Diligence and Compliance experts.
Anne Keys will join Joanna Thompson (Principal, Tembo Associates) and Julian Sluyters (Former CCO, Pinebridge Investments) in a panel discussion on “Diversity and Governance – why is it on the corporate agenda? Who is driving it? And what does it mean for firms?” during the 14:30pm GAIM Ops sessions on the 26th June.

Trailor Park 13 survive Hell and Back!

Well done to the Trailor Park 13 (AKA some Mums and Dads from The Loop in Potter’s Point) who successfully completed Hell & Back 2018 at the weekend! Led & organised by Sean Beakey (Daghda Irelandand accompanied by our very own Alan Bluett, everyone completed the tough course and all monies raised went to The Peter McVerry Trust.


The Annual ACOI Education and Careers Evening 2018

Our Joint Managing Partner Anne Keys kicked off the guest speaker line-up by speaking on the topic of “The Compliance Market and the Evolution of the Compliance Professional”.

This was followed by talks covering topics like;

  • The hot jobs within compliance at present time
  • Opportunities with the Data Protection Commission
  • Transferrable compliance skills within the various industries and how they can overlap and increase mobility and employability across industries/markets.

Melanie Blake (Director, ACOI) spoke to two former ACOI graduates, on the benefits of having a qualification from the ACOI. Afterwards, Anne and the panel did a Q&A session and answered questions from the audience on soft skills, advice on returning to work and top technical compliance skills for the future!

Clive Kelly (President, ACOI) and Anne finished the discussion saying that the route to the top in any organisation nowadays involves a number of years in a corporate governance role!

Alongside the conference part of the event, The Panel were delighted to have a stand in the main hall and would like to thank all those that came to speak to our consultants.

We would like to congratulate the organisers on a well organised evening.

We are delighted to announce that our Joint Managing Partner Anne Keys is one of the speakers included on the line-up of speaker for next week’s Annual ACOI – Education and Careers Evening.
