On Thursday, 25th October, 100 Women in Finance, Dublin (“100WF”) invited members and guests to a fully subscribed educational session at the office of BlackRock. The event was entitled – Building Your Non-Executive Career”.
A panel consisting of some of Ireland’s most experienced and well-known professionals/practitioners in the NED and Executive space took to the stage and was expertly moderated by our own Anne Keys (Joint Managing Partner).
Speakers included: Carin Bryans (Senior Country Head & CEO, J.P. Morgan), Eimear Cowhey (Independent Director), Ros O’Shea (Independent Director) and Catherine Woods (Independent Director).
Panellists discussed the role of the Non-Executive Director, how the role of the NED has changed over the last couple of years, as well as their own personal experiences of a career as a NED, and what advice they would have to anyone interested in this career.
The panel discussion was followed by a lively and highly interactive Q&A session and plenty of time for networking.
The Panel would like to congratulate 100WF on another inspirational event, and a big thanks to the panellist for enabling such a great discussion forum. Congratulations also to Anne, for leading the session expertly and to the event sponsors BlackRock.
